Project Brief: The PURI-HF trial is supported under the joint funding window of NIH and ICMR (RO1 grant) involving air purifiers toassess its impact on heart failure outcomes. The primary recipients of the grant are NYU and AIIMS with CCDC being a technical collaborator. The role is to conduct the exposure assessment, procurement of equipments, management of the trial data, conductfollow up and support with patient engagement

Job Description

Role Overview: The PTS-1 plays a critical role in the successful field implementation of the PURI-HF Study. Serving as theprimary link between the research team and the local community, this role focuses on participant enrollment, clinical tracking,hardware instruction, and data integrity under the direct supervision of the Project Manager.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Participant Recruitment & Retention
    • Enrollment & Motivation: Visit randomly selected households to educate and motivate eligible community members to participate in the research trial.
    • Proactive Follow-ups: Manage scheduled follow-up timelines, trace hard-to-reach participants, and actively work to minimize loss-to-follow-up rates.
    • Patient Navigation: Coordinate logistics and personally guide participants to partner healthcare institutions (AIIMS / Medanta) for specialized clinical testing.
  2. Data Collection & Field Research
    • Structured Interviewing: Conduct detailed, baseline, and annual interviews using standardized study questionnaires.
    • Qualitative Assistance: Assist senior research staff in conducting qualitative In-Depth Interviews (IDIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
    • Clinical Assessments: Perform objective field tasks, including taking accurate anthropometric (height, weight) and basic clinical measurements.
  3. Purifier Counseling & Patient Support
    • Equipment Training: Deliver clear, empathetic orientation and counseling to enrolled households regarding the correct usage and maintenance of air purifiers.
    • Results Disbursal: Hand-deliver laboratory test reports to study participants, explaining basic timelines and ensuring all receipts are formally documented.
  4. Data Integrity & Reporting
    • Secure Data Entry: Log all field survey responses, tracking logs, and follow-up metrics into the project database with high accuracy.
    • Confidentiality: Maintain strict data protection protocols to ensure participant privacy and trial ethics are never compromised.
    •  Progress Reporting: Compile and submit comprehensive weekly progress reports directly to the Supervisor or Project Manager.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Essential: 1+1 + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/ITI 01 1) DMLT/Research/ equivalent) + two years’ Experience i1 field work Experience relevant Subject/field

or

Three years Graduate degree in relevant subject/field+ one year experience in relevant subject

or

Candidates possessing a Post-Graduate (PG) degree in the relevant discipline shall be deemed full eligible for recruitment against PTS-1 and PTS-II positions without requiring any mandatory work experience.

or

The additional higher qualification (Master’s Degree) acquired beyond the minimum prescribed educational requirement (Bachelor’s Degree) will be treated in par with the required experience

Desirable

DMLT/Research/ equivalent) + two years’ Experience, 1 field work Experience in different Public Health projects, in a government, autonomous, PSU, recognized organization
